Since its release the Sony PS3 has been the least purchased game console on the market. Why? Because it was so technologically advanced that the price of it was super high. At its release back in november of 2006, the PS3 sold for $600.00 dollars. This $600.00 dollar machine gave you a game console and a Blu-Ray player in one. Blu-Ray players alone at the time were selling for approximately $500.00. You do the math.  Three years later, the price is now at $300.00 dollars, and the Sony PS3 is at its prime.

Technology

The Sony PlayStation3 contains a cell processor. What’s a cell processor? Well, put it this way; The US Army purchased hundreds of Sony’s PlayStation3 to utilize its cell processor technology. Who cares about what the cell processor is or does. The freaking US Army uses it, so you know it must do something good. PlayStation 3 game developers have said that they haven’t even scratched the surface of the potential of this technology.

Blu-Ray

What does Blu-ray mean to you? Well, with Blu-ray, developers can make games five times bigger than that of the Xbox 360. Blu-ray provides developers with a whopping 50GB of storage on a single CD. Just imagine a Grand Theft Auto game with a map that’s five times bigger. Makes you want to cry, doesn’t it.

With the cell processor and Blu-ray, the PlayStation3 can play some of the most photo-realistic games. As time progresses, we will begin to see games that the Xbox 360 can only dream of playing. For the price of .99 cents, Pocket God is a must buy, no questions asked. Pocket God must be one of the best developed apps. Since it’s release on January 9, 2009, Pocket God has had a whopping 28 updates. And that number just keeps on growing. Bolt Creative, the developers of Pocket God, definitely wins the title of best Iphone Game developer. While most developers quit on their apps after about the third update, Bolt Creative has never given up on its in-expensive jewel. Pocket God is abundant in features, and right when you think you’ve seen it all, Bolt Creative lets loose another update packed with new features.

Gangstar: West Coast Hustle

Right off the bat, West Coast Hustle knocks you off your feet with its stunning visuals and GTA-like open world. The sandbox gameplay provides many hours of game play. It is easy to tell that a lot of the game elements were borrowed from RockStar’s Grand Theft Auto. This is definitely not a bad thing. In West Coast Hustle you can high jack cars, shoot down civilians, buy ammunition, and even get chased by the cops. For the price tag of $6.99, only an idiot can pass on this one.

Call Of Duty: World At War: Zombies

For a hefty price tag of $9.99, World At War: Zombies brings everything you love about the console version of World At War To the I-Phone and Ipod Touch. Think of this as step forward in Iphone and Ipod touch game design. This game was made by Tryarch, the real developers of Call of Duty World At War. Call Of Duty: World At War: Zombies has one of the best graphics on the Iphone and Ipod Touch, rivaling that of the Sony PSP. The animation of the game is top notch and the head-shots are perfect. If you were looking for a true game for your device, look no further. Call Of Duty: World At War: Zombies brings all of the elements of console gaming to your mobile device.

Suspense

What is the only thing scarier than a mob of zombies or blood-thirsty creatures? Suspense.  Paranormal Activity will keep you at the edge of your seat for the entire hour and a half of the movie. Though the movie is not necessarily a gory movie, it has you constantly closing your eyes, trying to not witness what is about to happen next… Suspense is the key to a good horror film and paranormal activity definitely excels in suspense.

Amazing Facts

Paranormal Activity was budgeted by only $11,000.00. Eleven grands can barely land you a decent car, but Paranormal Activity gives you many sleepless nights. There were only three people involved in the movie: Oren Peli, the screenwriter/director; Micah Sloat, the actor who played the boyfriend; and  Katie Featherston, the woman who is haunted by a daemon. The acting was excellent considering that they were both amateurs.

Paranormal Activity’s Uprising

The movie was finished in 2007, so why did we find out about it in 2009? Well, Paranormal Activity had a rough start. It was an undiscovered masterpiece. The movie started out playing in small theaters usually around universities. Those who saw the movies were amazed. Paramount, upon hearing good things about the movie, decided to take action. Paramount proposed a plan that would allow the people to vote for the movie to be played at their local theaters. People everywhere got online and clicked as fast as they could. After one-million votes, Paranormal Activity was in every single theater in the country. The plan paramount had in mind was that Paranormal Activity would be the first movie ever to be voted by the people.

Paranormal Activity is a must see. Gather your friends and go straight to the theater. But prepare yourself, you are in for one hell of a ride.

A Wii-like motion controller has been announced by Blaze. Blaze is known for manufacturing odd and rather unique console accessories, but this is just insane. The so called “Freedom 3D controller” is said to bring Wii-like gaming experience to the PlayStation 3. The PS3 already offers motion sensing controllers(Sixaxis and Dualshock 3), but they simply cannot compete with the Wii controller. This is where the Motion 3D controller comes in. Imagine, Wii-like controls with Metal Gear Solid 4 graphics. The idea sounds acceptable, but will it succeed? We will all find out when the new Motion 3D controller launches.

The Uncharted 2 Among Thieves demo has been out for a little over a week and players have already played it for an estimate 30 years, all together. The demo can already predict good sell rates.

Amazing
I personally have not stopped playing the demo since its release. The online is simply amazing. The developers seemingly implemented all of the single player acrobatic abilities into the multiplayer. From time to time you may see the players climbing every single pole,building, and obstacle around. ‘Monkeys’ is the word i like to call them. The graphics are stunning and the physics are some of the best of this time. It is really hard to describe such a magnificent game. The demo literally blew my mind. You cannot blame the players for playing the demo so much.

Uncharted 2 Is simply a Masterpiece, and this is only the demo.
